Piercing Information

Choosing a Piercing

Before getting pierced, decide on the type and placement. Some popular options include:

  • Earlobe & Cartilage: Standard lobe, helix, conch, tragus, rook, daith, industrial
  • Facial Piercings: Nose (nostril, septum, bridge), eyebrow, lip (labret, Monroe, Medusa)
  • Oral Piercings: Tongue, smiley (frenulum), frowny
  • Body Piercings: Navel, nipple, dermal anchors, surface piercings

Each piercing has different healing times and pain levels.

Preparing for the Piercing

  • Eat & Stay Hydrated: This prevents dizziness and helps your body handle the process better.
  • Avoid Alcohol & Blood Thinners: These can increase bleeding.
  • Wear Comfortable Clothing: Choose outfits that won’t irritate the piercing area.
  • Be Mentally Prepared: Some piercings hurt more than others; cartilage, nipples, and genitals tend to be more painful.

The Piercing Process

  • Sterilization: The area will be cleaned, and the piercer will wear gloves.
  • Marking: The piercer will mark the placement for approval.
  • Piercing: A sterilized needle is used to create the hole, followed by inserting the jewelry.
  • Aftercare Instructions: Your piercer will provide guidance on keeping it clean and preventing infection
